Amy's Biography

      My name is Amy Marlene Thomas, I am 20 years old, and I am a Junior at South Alabama. I am a South cheerleader for basketball and football, and I am a Diamond Girl for the baseball team. I am recently renting a house in Mobile with three other girls, but I am originally from Leroy, Alabama. My major is secondary education and I am studying Physical Education and Health. I want to teach at a high school and be a cheerleading coach for that high school.
     My Dad (Price Thomas) attended USA and that is how I ended up a student at the university. I love helping and teaching children things they do not understand or do not know, the look on their faces when they figure it out is a very rewarding experience. I have a split home, my mother and my step-dad live in Leroy and my dad and step-mom live in Mobile. I am the oldest girl out of two, my sister is 19 years old and attends Auburn University.
     Cheerleading has always been a passion of mine since I was in elementary school. Sports have always been a big part of my life. In high school I played softball, volleyball, basketball, and I was a cheerleader. Cheering in college has been an answered prayer, and being a Diamond Girl has made my time at South Alabama extremely enjoyable!
